Enjoying What They Give You

Nero blinked. Clawing at a tree. In the fake bark, he drew some ducks. "Why are they even here?" he hissed crossly.

Myu rolled in the grass. "Myu, what was that, Nero?" he asked.

Silver climbed up a fake pine. She climbed high so nobody would see her. she looked down at everyone else.

"Ducks." Nero replied to his best friend in the confinement. "The little feathery things that live near the pond."

Aki sat on the bench, quiet and peaceful-ish.

"I don't know, myu." Myu said. "Maybe the scientists want us to play with them?" he mused.

Silver called down to nero. "I suppose the scientists think it makes the park realistic."

Rin turned around to look at Nero. "Do you have a problem with them?" Rin said in almost a hiss. She loved the ducks very much.

"We can't even communicate." Nero answered. "Her. Let me try."
He walked over to the pond, meeting a duck. "Quack quack quackedy quack." he said to the little bird. It cocked it's head, and swam away.

"Even though you can't communicate with it, can't you feel a connection with it?" Rin said, more calm about it. She could never get mad at a friend, no matter what they did.

Silver leapt down, landing next to Rin. "I feel a connection - we're both trapped here."

"Sure. If I had feathers and a jutted mouth." Nero laughed, collapsing onto the ground.

Rin started thrashing her tail in warning. She likes humor - but not this kind.

Myu watched the ducks wistfully. "Myu, trapped? There's something else out there?"

"Yes, Myu. There's a whole wide world out there," said Silver.

"I don't know." Nero admitted. "I'm guessing there are other scientists with little baby scientist kittens, and wierd duck monsters, and.."
He kept rambling about the only three species he had ever seen in different forms.

Aki sighed. He remembered that world. He loved that world. He missed that world.

Nekos never saw the outside world. Did you read the description?

Rin turned around with her back against the other Nekos and went to the side of the pond that the duck was at and pet it.

"A whole wide world. If only i were out there. There's so much to explore, but I can't because I'm here."

Myu cocked his head. "Myu, but I like it in here..."

"You should. It's a decent place they've created for us here," said Silver. "But I would love to explore!"

Rin hated when they talked about this place... she hated the fact that they were being treated like kids in a daycare... she hated it all! Rin had enough and started to run into the little mini forest that they had beside the fake park.

Silver followed Rin. She decided she was sick of talking about that outside world too.

Rin ran untill she found a huge tree and climbed to the top of it. She curled up into a ball and started crying.
